STRENGTH OF RECORD. Surely, you've been told that Ohio State's faced a cupcake schedule, played far too few games, and doesn't belong in the playoff.

I know I don't have to do much to convince y'all that those #takes are asinine, but here are some numbers, anyway.



For those of you wondering what the hell a "strength of record" is, it's basically how difficult it would be to achieve your record based on the strength of your schedule.

So basically, Ohio State's season was more impressive than Clemson's. And so was Indiana's, for that matter.

I swear there's some kind of magic voodoo shit with Clemson. Hopefully Day and co. can break that this year. Dabo is certainly giving the team all the motivation and bulletin board material they could want. I would love to see a 2002 Miami kind of game where our guys punch them in the mouth and just out-tough them, but I know that isn't how either team is really built.

This makes no sense. If we can't be him this year with a worse team than we had last year........

What do future matchups have to do with this matchup? Cowherd said the same thing about USC when we played them in the Shoe. If we couldn't beat them then.....when could we ever?!?!?!?! Oh, I dunno.....how about any of the last 10 years?

Okay and Clemson is worse this year too.

You know what I'm talking about. Of course matchups can be different in the future.

From a motivation stand point if we lose this game it's going to be tough beating them at any point provided both teams continue to stay on the same talent level. The conditions are there for us to finally get this done.

It takes more than motivation to win. If being a fucking dumbass who shoots his mouth off every time a mic is put in front of him meant he'd lose to the team he was mouthing off about all the time, we'd have won every matchup against them. Unfortunately it doesn't always work that way.

College teams totally flip their rosters every 4 years. I don't see how this "never going to beat them ever" stuff has any relevance.
