Haaaang on Sloopy, Sloopy Hang on!! O.. H.. I.. O.
First saw it on the BuckeyeGrove$ board over at Rivals, but also found an article covering this. There could be A LOT of players involved here (upwards of 40 players involved), starters even, with one being backup QB Ryan Perrilloux. Glenn Dorsey was said to bbe there, but instead of fighting, he tried to break it up and get his teammates out of there.

Looks like the fight definitely happened, though it doesn't yet appear that anyone got into real trouble..

Backup quarterback Ryan Perrilloux and reserve linebacker Derrick Odom were both at the scene of a ruckus at the Varsity music club next to the Chimes restaurant on Highland Road at the LSU gates at closing time early Friday morning.

Baton Rouge Police were called to the scene at about 2 a.m. Friday and broke up a fight involving about 20 men at the Varsity, but there were no arrests, according to police spokesman Jeff Smith.

DailyReveille

Capt. J.T. Smith of the Baton Rouge Police Department said late Saturday he could not confirm or deny any of the details of the police report.

"This is an ongoing investigation," Smith said. "No LSU players have been arrested."

Unless someone was killed, absolutely nothing will come of it.

If someone was killed LSU players found to be involved might sit out a series or two vs LaTech.

Attorney: LSU quarterback 'beat up' in altercation

The Associated Press
Published on: 10/28/07 Baton Rouge, La. ? LSU backup quarterback Ryan Perrilloux was "beat up" during an altercation at a nightclub, his attorney said Sunday.
Attorney Nathan Fisher said Perrilloux called him about 2:45 a.m. Friday to ask him whether Perrilloux should press charges. Fisher said he advised Perrilloux not to do so.
"My understanding is he got beat up," Fisher told The Advocate of Baton Rouge. "I'm confident after listening to what he had to say that he's innocent of any wrongdoing."

The latest is that two of the players, Odom and Benton, will be kicked off the team.

Not sure about Perrilloux. Apparently there is video that clears him of any wrongdoing, but there's still a lot of rumors and stuff flying around about him. I think he won't be kicked off but will probably not play against Bama.

LSU backup linebacker Odom charged with damaging property

BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU linebacker Derrick Odom was charged with a misdemeanor Wednesday, accused of smashing a car window after a brawl at a nightclub last week.

Odom faces one count of simple criminal damage to property, according to
Baton Rouge police. He was involved in a fight at The Varsity nightclub near LSU's campus early Friday, left the club and was caught on video when he returned an hour later and smashed an SUV window, police said.

A call to Odom's lawyer, Anthony Bertucci, was not immediately returned.

Coach Les Miles has said Odom, a backup, and backup quarterback Ryan Perrilloux, who was also in the fight, were barred from practice this week. Miles said the two will likely not play Saturday, when No. 3 LSU faces No. 17 Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Yeah Odom has been in two or three incidents before too. One of those guys who just doesn't get it. Rumors are still going around that him and Benton will be kicked off the team.

Perrilloux won't play against Bama this week, not sure about his future with the team beyond that. Sucks that we won't have him, he's a big time player and it's a big game, but Miles is going to make him pay for what he did.
