I'm assuming that the is directed at my post rather than Donna Summer dying. Not sure why picking the name Donna for your newborn daughter because the top female artist in the world at the time was also named Donna is funny.

Donna is a pretty common, regardless of why it is chosen. When my ex and I were considering names, she (being a FOB Japanese) suggested Donna because it was one of the few American girl's names she knew, and she knew it because of Donna Summer. It being a nice name, I agreed with it. Had Donna Summer been named Sharon Summer, my oldest would probably be named Sharon. Had Donna Summer been named Shaniqua Summer, my oldest would be named something else.
