Clarity, thank you for making this a very special place not only for Ohio State sports but for other discussion as well. I found the Planet a few years ago when I was looking around for some information regarding my PC and found your excellent thread on "Protecting your PC at all Times". This site beats any other site when it comes to good discussion about Ohio State sports but it does not end there. Thank you and let's not forget a big thanks to LongwoodBuck!!

Hey! Just discovered this thread when I found myself confused about having posted in something I had never seen!

Thanks so much all. But really, I don't really deserve extra rep. My involvement in the latest hardware issues has been limited at best. I've done all the shell stuff with backing up and moving things around, but all the local stuff, and all the heavy hitting stuff, has been done by one of the great admins at Puregig. I have a constant chat window open with our guy there, and am in touch when the server even just burps, but right now is just a waiting game chock full of little cost efficiency decisions.

Rep people like grad, 3yards, LJB, deety, etc., because they're the people here day in and day out who make the site worth coming back to. My old analogy still stands. I threw out the canvas, brushes and paint. You guys did the rest, and without our admins, this place would be nothing. They do an amazing job, as do the mods, as does everyone who contributes to content and focus.

I do what I can to keep us running, and make sure we're as prepared for unfortunate events as possible. When there are massive problems like this, my 'job' is as much sitting around, stressing, and waiting between IMs and emails as it is connecting to the machine and actually doing something.

In essence, my role and impact is as over-rated as Notre Dame's annual pre-season ranking. :)

I do appreciate it though.

Another good dentist appointment today, by the way. Only a full exam and series of pics and xrays, but that was necessary in order to proceed from the emergency work done last time. More urgent work to be done, but one step at a time.

Seriously, for those who don't know the history of this site - we owe all of it to Clarity. It was his idea and his initiative that got it running. And it was his personal standards that set the tone that makes this site worth visiting.

Thanks Clarity - next to Nicole Kidman you are my favorite person I have never met.
