I was a pretty good baseball player back in my day. Not good enough for the big leagues by any means, but I was good. I was lead off batter. I used to wear oversized uniforms and crowd the plate and let yards of fabric hang over the plate. Got a lot of free bases and became a pretty good actor. "Ouch! My kidney!!!". Anyway, I'm just here for the comedy and to say I've taken baseballs to the back, the head, the legs, the ankles, the wrists, and the worst, the fingers. After getting hit a couple times in one game, I took a bat and wore a helmet to the after-game handshake. Coach stopped me from lighting up a pitcher...

The Reds just got swept by a team who is actually behind them in the Central standings (Yes, it is actually possible to be BEHIND the Reds In the standings) and they scored a whopping 5 runs in those three games. Can you die from catching Reds fever?

Props to my wife for picking out seats that weren't near people. That was a plus.

I wish I could think of something that nice to say about them.


In all honesty though, I don't hate Cardinal fans, I hate the St. Louis Cardinals. I went to see a Van Halen concert a few years back in St. Louis and decided to scalp tickets to a game against the Brewers earlier that day and their fans were actually really nice. It sucked that it was 2011 World Series replica trophy giveaway day though. Their fans are kind of like Reds fans only they live in Missouri and they have a winning organization to root for (albeit a cheating one.) Still, the Cardinals themselves, can go fuck themselves.

I guess I did say something nice about them after all. Don't hate me for it.
