Latos is truly a warm weather player and now that he's out of April with maybe his best start ever, he could be in for a special type of year. Once again though, he gets absolutely dick for run support. Best keep throwing those shutouts.

How much could we get in trade for Bruce? Let him go on a tear in the AL and see if we can get a .280-.300 hitter for him in the meantime. I have no more patience for him.

LF is a masacre and we arent getting any more fresh bodies. I don't totally hate Paul but he's a spot start kind of guy, pinch hitter.........put Lutz in and see how bad he is for now.

Arroyo against Garcia tonight. Fuck :!

I have a question, is Brook Jacoby the hitting coach for the Reds? If so, why does he still have a job? A career .270 hitter is your hitting coach? Guys get a clue!

This team will blow their wad in one game and score 14 or 15 runs, then go for a stretch of 4 or 5 games of scoring two or less. What gives? Damn these guys are shitty!

Don't get me wrong, Bruce pisses me off but I still am a fan and there's one reason why: defense. Even when he's struggling he still provides one of the best arms in baseball and covers good ground in RF. Hopefully now he can hear up and we won't need to complain about his spot.

Oddly enough if you look at the splits with men on base the Reds offense is top 12 in wOBA.

It's the power, or lack thereof, that kills them.
-4th in OBP with men on base.
-23rd in ISO with men on base.
-20th in Runs scored with men on base.


Tells me the stats back up what our eyes see every night. Teams will pitch around the dangerous bats in the lineup to get to the dead wood. Lots of men on base, few outs, few runs.
