Simon.......Just cemented the fact that with Marshall hurt this bullpen has exactly two good pitchers in it.

I don't expect the front end bullpen guys to be Cy Young but fuck me, this is a bit much.

They take Warren's replacement in the supplemental round.

Michael Lorenzen from CS Fullerton who is apparently a great athlete who just doesn't do anything all that great on a baseball field.

Oh goodie.

Checked on the mlb draft tracker page where they have info on the prospects and it looks like he was drafted as a pitcher.

A pitcher that throws in the mid to high 90's but can't strike anyone out.

Tell me this doesn't sound like Warren if he could pitch:

Lorenzen didn't have a great summer numbers-wise, hitting .171 with no extra-base hits and two stolen bases, for USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team during exhibitions in Cuba and in Honkbal-Haarlem Baseball Week in the Netherlands. He also pitched in three games, picking up a win, a loss and a save. He didn't allow a hit, but he did allow four walks while striking out one.

But I'm sure he's got tons of "upside"? A high ceiling? Lots of potential?
