Reds Tidbits (2012 Season)

We were looking at a 6-5 road trip as a complete success.

We started 0-1, textbook... But that being on Cueto, especially not good. Bounced back in parallel universe style to be up 2-1, and then fast forward to todays top of the 9pocalypse, followed by Arreuhoh. 2-2 is acceptable, 3-1 we would have been criminals. Whatevs.

I see a Dodger team making the Cubs look good, and I see either 3-0 or 0-3.

0-3 would suck.

At this point, I am starting not to care. This game was an example of a team that didn't care. So why should I. I am taking a break from watching these dumbfucks play. I suppose I will be back after the break, hopefully watching an epic collapse and the firing of Dusty Baker.

Fuck Mark Berry and WTF Jay Bruce?!?! Pretty much sums up the game.

2-2 so far with the best team we'll face on this trip. Not that bad really. We miss Kershaw with the Dodgers so if they don't have a winning trip, fire Duhsty and every one of his mob. If you can't get it done with fundamentals, the leadership is nonexistent. There are no arguments that can legitimately be made to the contrary. Tonight was embarrassing.

It's funny to me calling a team "dumbfucks" as they sit in first place in their division in July. Playing professional baseball day in and day out is just so easy...they should really be 78-0 right now.

Enjoy the fact that they are in the race if you are fan. If you aren't, then enjoy when they lose, because even the best teams loses almost half the time.

Go take your pansy ass faggoty sunshine elsewhere!

Once again another outsider who hasn't read the thread comes in and tells us what the fuck to do. Will they ever learn?

BTW...don't take it personally. This thread is full of sarcasm and angst. It's a running joke for years in Reds threads here. Although yesterday was frustrating, and it's not the first time Bruce and Berry screwed up mentally. Berry coaches third base with a pre designed way to coach third base, and it's often poor. He sent Votto that one time where he was thrown out by 10 feet because he thought they desperately needed a run, and then yesterday when a guy would have been safe by ten feet holds him because there were none out. That is just poor baseball coaching along with the tons of other completely terrible coaching decisions that are made on a weekly if not daily basis by this staff.

Although I will say this. Having a .551 winning percentage in an awful division and being in first place by 1 game is not the sign of a good team. In any other division the Reds are not sniffing first place (well, except for maybe the other Central Division).

I can tolerate losing. I expect it, it's part of the game. There are two things that get my blood boiling though - stupid mistakes and looking hopeless against mediocre competition. I feel like the Reds do more than their share of those two things.

Hopefully nothing too serious is wrong with Cozart. If he isn't able to return quickly we might see the return of Soft-J to the team at SS.

Phillips doubles to lead off the top of the 6th. I wonder how we plan to strand him.

EDIT: Mesoraco comes up with a two out two run double that scored Frazier and Cairo. Needed that big time. 3-2 Reds.
