Reds Tidbits (2012 Season)

Anybody else hear rumors of interest in Jeff Francouer?

Where are you seeing the Francouer rumors? He would be a definite upgrade over Ludwick and a good pickup, especially since Heisey just strained his groin. He is another swing and miss type though, which we all know the Reds have too much of. He'd definitely give the Reds the best throwing outfield in the NL and possibly all of MLB. He does have 13.5 mill. left on his contract, so not sure how viable an option he is.

Chatting with a baseball buddy online and he saw it in a rumor mill. I'm trying to get the site so I can read it for myself. The Royals were talking about losing some cap space by the trade deadline so we could be in the mix at that break. Of course, if Ludwick is going to unfuck himself we might not need it.

I am sick of the Cards getting to play Kansas City every year. Since interleague started, the Royals have 1 winning season. 11 of those 16 years they have lost over 90 games.

In comparison, the Indians actually had a winning percentage over .500 in 8 of those years (that does include this year) and have lost 90 or more 3 times.

Of course the Reds don't have it as bad as say the Mets, but it still sucks that the main power in the Central gets to play one of the worst teams in baseball every freaking year.
