With the Reds short (and shitty) bench I'd normally agree. With nobody out though, I'd want to see if they can keep this inning rolling. Extend the lead as much as possible while you can, and you can hopefully have a guy like LeCure or Hoover see this thing through and possibly bat for themselves when that spot in the order comes back around.

All of this has me thinking:


Mike Leake could have a great career as a long reliever. He can hit and run and when he's controlling his pitches, gets a lot of ground ball outs.

That would make that problem of pinch hitting less severe. I also don't think Leake will make it long as a starter. He just isnt overpowering enough and will get knocked around a bit. For 3 innings in the middle though he could be really good.
