Reds Tidbits (2012 Season)

Reds 1 through 5 hitters in Washington: 11 for 89 (.124), 9 BBs, 23 Ks.

7 of the free passes were issued to Votto.

Joey might as well start expecting the Barry Bonds treatment. At this point I'd IBB Cozart and Votto and take my chances with everybody else.

Until the manager gets smart enough to put Bruce behind him there is absolutely zero reason why anyone should or would pitch to Votto with runners on base. None.

Duhsty will never let a lefty follow a lefty irregardless of the fact they are his two best hitters and can handle the dread late inning LOOGY getting two outs thing because well you know, they can actually hit left handed pitching.

Instead he keeps an inferior bat in the #4 hole irregardless of the fact there isn't a RH bat in the lineup that can hit no matter what hand the pitcher throws with.

Yes they won today but this bitch is over already barring a major trade. LF, 3B and CF are just to weak. SS and C can join the offensive black hole at any time. There are 13 position players on the Reds 25 man roster and only 3 of them are legitimate MLB caliber hitters.

The offense will get better but don't forget, at that point it will be the SP and/or bullpen's turn to suck out loud. This team will not fail to fail. In that, I have unshakeable faith.
