Yep...it's a triple because the winning run started from first. Had the winning run started from second, it would have been a double. Had the winning run started from third, it would have been a single.

Also would have been ruled less than a triple had he not ran all the way to third. It does not matter that he got to third after the run scored, only matters that he was attempting to go to third, and made it there.

Walk off triples are pretty rare in themselves, but with two outs, it seems like it would be even more rare for a batter to keep running. I would guess that this may be the first two out walk off triple of the year, and maybe in years.
