Also, after watching Alfredo Simon for one forgetful inning I'd say he is who the O's said he was....string straight fastball which he likes to locate on the barrel of the bat.
His breaking stuff actually looked pretty good. Hopefully he mixes some of it in with the bp fastballs next time and limits the carnage.
Straight pitch they hit very much, curveballs scare bats (at least a little).
I really love the Reds defense this year. I can't remember a year when I had total faith in every guy in the field like this.
That being said, pitching has to make em hit it where they are, not where they aint. There are no defensive players on the other side of the wall. Just sayin.
Cairo really hasnt looked good at the plate. I was hoping Frazier would make the roster out of spring. Hopefully he can get hot in AAA and get brought up soon.
