I think I am going to stop watching. When I don't watch, they win.

On a side note, the Marlins are falling apart (only a matter of time). That could make Josh Johnson a possible trade target. It would cost an arm and a leg, but he is certainly a TOR type guy and somewhat affordable ($13.75 million the next two years, and only part of $7.75 million this year). I wouldn't normally say a guy like that would not be available, but hey, it's the Marlins. Grandal, Alonso, and one of the young A guys (Hamilton, Rodriguez, or Duran) could get something like that done. That is a hefty price, but 2 1/2 years of Josh Johnson could offset any pain.

Have to get at least 2 in LA, get Homer and Aroldis back for the homestand, and re-focus on the last 7 before the All Star break. This is a very, very important next 3 weeks.

is it ever...those last 7 games could determine how they finish the rest of the season, not saying they win all 7 they'll go on to win, but if they go 2-5 or 1-6, they prob have no shot at winning the div.

oh, and Reds get a win AT Dodger Stadium?

If Arroyo had Volquez' arm and ability, he'd be an annual Cy Young candidate. His head is always on straight and he brings everything he has every game. Bad thing is he doesnt always have his location or enough break on his breaking ball to keep him in the game. Last night he did everything possible to win that game and go deep into to keep our piece of shit bullpen off the field.

I will say that CoCo had it going on last night. When he's out there pitching and not trying to challenge every hitter, he's got great stuff.

TOR guy would be a dream right now but that extra everyday bat would do this club just fine.

The starting pitching has really done well on this trip. Part of it might be park factors and the Giants' putrid, depleted lineup, but it helps. For the first time this year we're talking about good outings that the starters actually carry past the 6th inning.

That was like, what, 6 quality starts in a row? I know Bronson's was pushing it last night but until the 8th he'd only given up 2 runs. Thats quality in my book. Now we got the Ace going tonight. Stay away from Kemp and you'll be alright.
