Reds Tidbits (2011 Season)

Well, 4 games back at the end of May and the worst part of the schedule coming to a close.

This team still needs another starter bad, and Arroyo to turn it around (which he has done in the past....this is not the first time he came out of the gate with a 5+ ERA).

If those 2 things happen this team could still compete. Of course I have no delusions of grandeur. This is not a world champion level team. Yet the Cards and Brewers are very flawed teams too.

BP's Kahrl suggests pursuing Billingsley or Johan Santana (Dodgers and Mets both need to lighten payroll) or see if the Twins would deal Liriano. Offering either Ramon (pending FA) or Hanigan (cheap) to the Giants would also make sense, since the Giants now need a catcher while the Reds need to make room for Mesoraco.

Why not just go find the insurance agency Jimmy Haynes/Anderson are working at and keep the prospects?

Nice start by Roenicke. I think I could throw harder than he does though so I'm not sold on him lasting a long while.

Nice double by Stubbs there to start us off!

You've been traded to Minnesota for Liriano pending a physical.
