Reds Tidbits (2011 Season)

:slappy:

Gameday didn't even show me a pitch to Gomes. In a span of two seconds it went from ball four to Phillips, Gomes to the plate, end of inning. That was about as automatic as outs get. It was as if the ump rang him up just for being announced.

Logan blows another one, chapman in to try to save his ass

He didn't blow it, he walked one guy and then had the misfortune of giving up a seeing-eye flare that fell in a spot where Janish should have been able to get to it if Dusty hadn't moved him to a different position several innings ago.

Well, at least most of the players I dislike have players in the minors able to replace them. LeCure is gone. I know it won't happen, but Fred Lewis should be playing LF when the team goes up against right handers. I have never been much of a Jordan Smith fan. He has at least earned a little more time, but I am not sure how long. Hopefully Arredondo and Dontrelle Willis can fill Smith and Fisher's spot (I know, Willis is not on the 40 man, but Herrera is....his ass should not be wasting a 40 man spot).

Once those guys are gone I will feel better about this team. Sadly Gomes has pictures of Dusty or Walt or the two of them together, so his ass sitting on the bench is probably a pipe dream.

Well, it looks like I can keep watching the draft.

Has Travis Wood pitched a decent game yet this season. He's making the choice between him and Leake for the #5 spot in the rotation pretty easy.

He pitched well against Milwaukee and San Diego. Ok vs. St. Louis. Yet this is the third time in 6 games where he has gotten absolutely shelled.
