Reds tidbits (2010 season)

Cards lose 14-5, dropping another series to a losing club. They've swept the Reds and took a series against the Giants, but have lost series against the Cubs, Brewers, Pirates, and Nationals. 5-1 versus winning clubs, 3-8 against the dregs.

In whiny bitch news, Cards are up in arms over a bull rush in the vicinity of home plate by Nijer Morgan to take out Anderson who had his back turned and had given up on the play (there was not going to be a play at the plate). It was a pretty classless move by Morgan, who went so far out of his way to elbow Anderson in the back that he had to scramble back to touch home plate. Still funny the Cards (and their fans) are complaining.

If elbowing a Cardinal player in the back of the head at every given opportunity is wrong.....

Have to agree with Cowboy, LeCure is a much better pitcher in long relief than starting. I really think he could develop into a Scott Sullivan type pitcher if he has the mentality to do it that way. As a starter I think he's not a deep into the ballgame pitcher, 5 to 6 innings max. Right now he's totally dominating. Excellent pitching, not just throwing. He's all over the strike zone locating pitches but mostly keeping everything down. Perfect pitcher for GABP. Now, lets get hims some more run support.
