Reds Tidbits (2008 season)

Oh hell no. There is no comparison to "the Drive" or "the Fumble." At least, I've seen the Reds win a World Series. The Reds frustrate, the Browns broke my heart.

Agree...No comparison...

I am with Bucky, I try to be positive with this team and not get all negative and shit, but some nights they just never cease to amaze me with the boneheaded shit they do...Bray looks like he is going to continue his solid pitching from AAA...

I didn't mean they've always been that way - but that's what they've become. They're now the kind of team that loses games because of stupid shit like...
  • Somebody taking off their helmet on the field.
  • Getting enough of the ball when blocking a FG attempt by the opponent on 3rd down so that the ball lands behind the line of scrimmage, thus allowing them to re-try (and make) the game winner when the recover the ball behind the line of scrimmage.
  • Making an OT FG that doesn't count, then coming right back and missing the one that does count.
They are inventing new ways to lose that nobody ever thought possible. A double rundown double play?! Seriously, they should play fucking circus music at GABP when these clowns come up to bat instead of Night Ranger and whatever other crap these guys pick out.

C'mon man. This is supposed to be a professional team, right? We currently have more E's, 2 than we have hits, 1. I could maybe understand if we were facing Nolan Ryan or Clemens in his prime, but who the fuck is this guy we were facing? Oh yeah, nobody. :shake:

From the "too little, too late" file, Dunn just hit a 2 run homer.

Doesnt he seem to do that a lot. He hits em when they arent all that relevant to the game most of the time. I know you cant save the HR's for game winners but it seems he gets most of his in garbage time. Oh well, maybe he'll get it going after this series.

C'mon Aaron, we can still win this series.

Thus the continued knock on Dunn, not doing things in the clutch...

Dunn is really struggling this season...

I am up for moving both Dunn and Griffey after the season...I think Bruce can make up for some production, and I just think it would take us away from a team that relies too much on the long ball a little too much...

No knock on Dunn from me. The "too little, too late" was on the team generally. Hope that jump starts Dunn. I'm tired of him riding the pine for my fantasy team. Welsh said it doesn't help them today, but it gives you a little more hope going into tomorrow... better than getting shut out.

I know you weren't knocking on Dunn I was just adding to the theory that some have...

I really hope that Dunn gets it together...The sooner the better...
