Reds Tidbits (2008 season)

Wakefield has 54 pitches through 5 innings. You've got to be fucking kidding me. These guys are a gutless bunch of shitheads! 10 pitches to retire the side last inning. WTF!?!?!?!?

Bako's the turd today. Throws one into left field for the first run and two passed balls but they're scoring them on Edinson. Volquez is getting no help and working his ass off again trying to win this game. We have 3 hits and thanks to Donkey we got a run out of it. Pathetic display once again. This team can only hit fast balls. Anything that moves and we're a lineup full of Pedro Cerranos.

If Volquez could just cut down on some of his pitches that he loses at time and they go out of the zone, and those become balls just out of the zone that guys start chasing, and cut down his pitches he is going to start going 7 and 8 innings consistently...

We need to get some runs for him today...

Brandon delivers for another home run, but we cannot get anyone on base against Wakefield. We're down 3-2 and it looks like Volquez is done for the day. 7IP, 2ER, 9K's and only 1 walk today. Good outing once again for EV.

Weathers gives up the leadoff double to Drew. He's got to get out of this inning if we're going to have any kind of a chance to win this.

Freakin Weathers gives up the run and tried to give up a 5th but Jay Bruce and Paul Janish gun Lowell down at the plate. Great relay and toss home to save Weathers hide and the ball game possibly.

We've got something going in the bottom of 8. Javy comes in and pinch hits for Janish with Bako on 2nd and Bruce on 1st with 1 out. He delivers with a single scoring Bako and Bruce hustles to 3rd. We've got em on the corners with 1 down and the tying run on 3rd in Jay Bruce. Jolbert Cabrera is running for Javy and now its Jr. at the plate. Fuck!

3-0 and Jr. grounds into a double play. My God this is torture.

That is the shit that drives me fucking crazy...

We were about to try and overcome our stupid ass mistakes, behind great pitching and a good performance from Wakefield today...

Dusty made a solid move hitting Valentine for Janish...We get a guy on 1st and 3rd with 1 out...

Griffey is ahead 3-0 and swings at an inside pitch that would of been ball 4, it breaks his bat and he grounds into a double play...The Red Sox are thanking the Reds for being an absolutely stupid ass team...

Geesh, the Reds should be at least a .500 team right now. Everytime they get to the top to go over the fall flat on their asses. 4 or 5 games already this season we've just given up or crapped our pants when we should've won it. I know there are a couple we stole also but given the discrepency there, it would make us .500. All together thats not awful considering we've lost Kepp and Hairston when they were setting the table offensively. Not starting Bruce from day one is an all time clusterfuckup if I've ever seen one.

Now we need one against Papelbon to tie it. Good friggin luck. BP, Dunn and E5.

EE ties it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now if we just would of had another run in the 8th by a sac fly or a little ground out or something...

Shoot, Jr. could've easily walked and loaded em up most likely. Of course he could've went big fly on the next pitch as well had he not swung at the one he did. Ifs and Buts are all about the Cincinnati Reds. :!
