Reds Tidbits (2007 Season)

There it is again...It is obvious to most that Milton wasnt going to get thru the 5th inning...He was the 2 batter in the inning in the top of the 5th...

Sure enough he hits Milton who gets out, then Milton gives up a Double, thanks to Dunn's lazy effort and then gets an out and out of the dugout comes the moron...:!

Yup.

Leave the pitcher in to hit for himself, then come back and get 1 fucking out the next half inning. Well with this bench a pitcher has just a good a chance of getting a hit.

Just got home and caught the last couple of innings on the radio. Marty had a "long closed door" meeting with Jerry today. He didn't say what they talked about other than he told Narron that Hamilton needs to be in the lineup everyday and that he will improve (especially in his ability to hit lefties). I know Marty is an advocate of moving Dunn to the 6 hole, so who knows if there is any connection.

Right on cue, Dunn-key cranks one. Thank god their closer sucks more than ours. At least we have a chance.

He needed to tell his ass he is in over his head and to take a hike...What manager takes advice from a radio announcer?

Marty actually said that he had a meeting with Narron to tell him whats what?

Unreal.

For someone who claims to know baseball so well, putting a high OBP/bad run producer(according to team Brennaman) in the 6 hole vs the 2 hole sure is fucking dumb.

I'll have to say I thought it was kind of strange. The way Marty described it, it did sound like Narron was trying to get Marty's perspective of what is going on with the team. Marty in no way implied that Narron was asking for advice. It may have been Marty asking to talk to Narron to find out what he's thinking for all I know and then offering his advice as I would expect Marty to do. I got the impression that it wasn't a typical interview for media purposes.

Just weird all the way around...

I am curious as to the guys we are going to get in return for Deno...They are probably not going to be great prospects, but maybe some young guys that have a chance to make their way thru the system...

Also with the outfield situation with us having Hamilton, Bruce, Stubbs in the minors it made Deno a little bit more expendable after his injury...

I've got no problem with dealing anyone, just get a good return. Why trade him now when his value is at its lowest?

I was ok with trading AK and FeLo last year, I just wasn't impressed with giving them away.

We'll see who we get but its starting to come out already that Beane wanted Deno back in the spring and still wants him now, even though he's on the DL. Our team doesn't think the guy is MLB worthy. Just a few red flags in there to me.

The Thompson kid from that trade is throwin well in Dayton...So if Bray can get healthy and show his worth and if the Magic man can get back to his good days, that trade doesnt look so bad...

I do believe that the A's are still offering the same thing they were offering b4 Deno went down...

I always get good information after reading you guys' posts each night, and it enlightens me to stuff I wouldn't otherwise come across. It's great that I can tell my friends that I get my Reds/Browns/etc. info from a Buckeye site. I tell them to get a clue!...Keep it up fellers
