Deal hasn't changed Harang
Preparation, not results, right-hander's focus
BY JOHN FAY | [email protected]
SARASOTA, Fla. - When the Reds signed Aaron Harang to a four-year, $36.5 million deal Feb. 6, they were looking out for the long-term future of the franchise.
Harang tends to look at things long-term himself. He didn't make much bad or good of his spring training debut.
He went two innings, allowing a run on five hits, walked none and struck out two in the Reds' 14-1 win over Minnesota on Saturday at Ed Smith Stadium.

D'oh! Homer roughed up

BRADENTON, Fla. - Rest easy, Reds fans.
"Yeah, I got hit around," Homer Bailey said. "But the sun is going to come up tomorrow."
Bailey's spring training debut was less than spectacular. He went two innings, allowing three runs on three hits, in the Reds' 10-4 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates at McKechnie Field Sunday.
