At least they have moved Barksdale over to DT (ranked #11...behind Brent at #9 and just ahead of Jeremiah at #12). Of course they still have Still rated as an unranked OL...

I don't see any reason why we don't get at least 6 from that list and could easily be 7 or 8 or even more.

As for the rankings I would like to know how they justify Willy Korn as the #4 QB in the nation.

Also I think BSaine is the perfect example of where the ATH category is a must when ranking some of these kids. They have Saine as the 12th best rb, but I know that there are not 11 other rb's I would take ahead of Saine. Maybe I am biased and maybe it is b/c he is just not the prototypical rb in terms of his running style, but still when I am ranking people I ask myself would I take A over B or B over A.

Also they moved Martin up, but how do you rationalize 6 DE's ranked ahead of him.

Overall not as bad as the opening rankings, but I guess rankings are nothing more than peoples opinions.

Overall pretty good but I am stumped on Clifford. The Rivals guys had said that Clifford would likely become a 5 star in their next rankings and instead he drops from 29 to 71?

I am so ticked about them dropping Clifford that I don't care if this is premium or not...here is their rationale:

Cincinnati (Ohio) Colerain safety Eugene Clifford impressed in person, but didn't rank as high as fellow Cincinnati prospect and strongside defensive end Ben Martin.
How ridiculous is that? They don't even give an actual reason.

EDIT: RB0 beat me to it...

I am still trying to figure out how they have Clifford ranked #1 in their Ohio rankings but behind both Martin and Saine.

I also know that I am going by offers and sometimes that is not a good thing, but our staff stopped recruiting Derrick Morgan, they saw Berstein in person and didnt offer, Gary Gray shouldnt be in the top 100.

Also I am even pretty sure that a lot of scUM fans would agree that they would rather have Clifford over Finch, yet Finch is 41 spots higher. Keep in mind we didnt even offer Finch and there was a time when we would of been looking good if we would of.

Willy Korn at 25 is also hilarious.

Overall I think it is pretty obvious that they favor the South over @ Rivals.

Because they are retarded. This is the same group who took an unranked player (Carlos Dunlap) and moved him into the rankings at #7. So either they totally whiffed on this kid initially or they are way off now. I'll let grad decide which is which, since he is from SC...at least they are finally starting to see the light on Gary Gray.

They also switched RoJo to WR, where they rank him as the #5 player in the country, but they still show him as the #2 CB behind Eric Berry and the #2 player in Michigan behind Barksdale, who they rank as the #59 player in the country. I know they have re-do their state rankings, but c'mon.

1. I agree with Finch's rating, 2. He's not a safety that's why we didn't offer. Our needs in this class were skill position, DB, and hopefully OL/DL.

2. Clifford is a top ten talent. 71 is silly

I actually went and chekced out Dunlap's film and let me tell you that they totally whiffed on this kid b4 hand. They didnt even have him in the top 100. I have no problem with him being ranked where he is. The competition didnt look that great, but if I have ever seen a Mario Williams clone he would be it. At his size and doing the things he was doing was impressive. Hell the kid returned a KO for a td.

I would have him a little ahead of Tez Wilson for top DE in the country.

The thing about what they did with Rojo is just them having egos IMO. Much like the whole Barksdale thing earlier in the year with OL/DL. Yes he could play either or, but a lot of times when you have a kid like this on D in high school they arent goign to go his way at all. Therefore a lack of highlights. When he is being told by college coaches that he is being looked at for D, why do they have to go out of their way to try and disagree.

From Bobby Burton regarding Clifford:

We went and saw him in person. He's a pure safety. Two players in the state are better prospects in our opinion - Ben Martin (a 6-5 defensive end) and Brandon Saine (an all-purpose type back with elite speed). Not overall a great year in Ohio per se.

I would have a hard time ranking anyone ahead of Wilson...DE or otherwise. I think he is one of the top 2-3 players in the country, when taking into account potential.

One thing I know is that Crabtree probably didn't have anything to do with Gene dropping so far. He raved about him after the Herbstreit Classic.

I normally don't give two you know whats about rankings, but if I was Gene, I would take this personally and use it as motivation going into the game against Sycamore.
