Holy resurrected thread, Batman! I thought ND had enough threads dedicated to them here. Where are all the Wolverine threads? Aren't you guys rivals, don't you play every year?

Hating that school up north is our profession. Hating Notre Dame is our passion.

It looks better on our resume if we beat a team that also beat ND. That's professionalism and professional concern.

Here are my reasons to hate ND.
They wear green and gold or something like that.
They proclaim to have Jesus on their side.
The college is in S. bend or somewhere close to that, geezee I hate that (those) towns.
It is popular to hate ND.
Their coach is a weis guy.
They put their pants on the same as me
They always play a tougher schedule than we do , maybe, kinda , sorta.
Their players already have gold pants, Our players have to earn them by beating animals. Wait A minute isn't that what Vick did?
Their players have funny names like Tom, Jack, Harry, etc.

Give me a break .

Why I Hate Notre Dame and Why the Big 10 Wants Them as Members

Wow, the Irish took apart Army! They're Bowl Eligible and should they win next week at USC ready to start demanding their place in a BCS game. Gag me with a spoon.

NEW YORK -- Notre Dame, arguably the most storied program in the history of college football, made a little more history Saturday night.

The Fighting Irish, playing in the New York metropolitan area for the second time in a month, won the inaugural college football game at the new Yankee Stadium, 27-3 over Army, in front a record crowd of 54,251.

In the process, Notre Dame clinched bowl eligibility in Brian Kelly's first year as coach, moving to 6-5 on the season with one game to play, at USC next Saturday.

"New York's a lot of things, and what it was tonight was a college football town," Kelly said. "It was an exciting atmosphere, and I know that our kids fed off the energy that was here in New York for the past 48 hours."

Tommy Rees was assigned Derek Jeter's locker, a good omen when playing at Yankee Stadium.
The Fighting Irish will undoubtedly leave the Big Apple a much happier bunch than they did the last time around. Four Saturdays ago, the Irish were thoroughly embarrassed by Navy at the nearby New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., 35-17 -- and the game wasn't even that close.

Notre Dame fans had reason to be concerned about this game. Army is much-improved under second-year coach Rich Ellerson; the Black Knights entered with a record of 6-4, bowl-eligible for the first time since 1996. Plus Army, like Navy, runs the triple-option offense, which completely stymied Notre Dame on Oct. 23.

What's more, the start of this game was eerily similar to the start of the Navy game. On the first possession, Notre Dame drove the length of the field but ultimately failed to score -- this time because of an interception in the Army end zone.

The Black Knights took the ball and subsequently marched 78 yards down the field before having to settle for a field goal and a 3-0 lead.

Ah, but they bring the East Coast TV market with them...

Still, they remain the one team that cause me to root for USC.

If they played in the Big 10 long enough, no one on the East Coast or anywhere outside of Indiana would care because they'd consistenly be a mediocre football team with a middling record. Their 20 year reign of mediocrity would become permanent and people would forget, just like Minnesota, that they were ever good. Notre Dame sucks, fuck their tradition and bullshit, they're just another shitty Indiana school with a prissy attidude.

I was pleased that the Illinois-NW'ern game at Wrigley Field got a lot more national attention than the Domers game in Yankee Stadium yesterday.

That's partly because the game at Wrigley was on ESPNU, and the Domers game was on NBC and ABC/ESPN shills their own product; but in this one case the Evil Empire's actions of mostly ignoring the battle in NYC made me happy.

How the hell did I miss this thread? I've been banned for ND bashing on other sites (by ND "fans", of course). :wink2:

I still love this one, even if it is a few years old.

I won't ever root for Notre Dame but I refuse to EVER roots for those arrogant asses at USC that think they invented the freaking game. I prefer to just act as if the Notre Dame-USC game doesn't exist.
