RB/WR Curtis Samuel (Buffalo Bills)

599 yards rushing on 76 carries (7.88 ypc) and 5 TDs. If he had the required 10 carries per game he'd be #3 in the country in yards per carry.
676 yards receiving on 52 catches (13.0 ypc) and 5 TDs. He is 50th in the country in receiving yardage and has the most receiving yards of any RB in the country.
1275 total yards on 128 touches for a 9.96 yards per touch average and 10 total TDs. Not too shabby...

Man Curtis' swag levels up each week, I really see him turning into the alpha talent on the field and each game he is looking better and better confident and more comfortable, if Urban can keep defenses off balance and use Curt closer to how he was used against Nebraska going forward then he will start to put legit fear into defenses for the rest of the season because they'll know he's going to break a big run or make a big play in only a matter of time... players facing him and DC's scheming to stop him will fear him all the same.

URBAN MEYER EXPLAINS WHY CURTIS SAMUEL WILL GET FIRST SHOT AS OHIO STATE'S NEW PUNT RETURNER

76439_h.jpg,qitok=K-ySjwnT.pagespeed.ce.OgVjsauh-5.jpg

Ohio State puts a lot on Curtis Samuel’s plate.

He’s asked to run between the tackles. He lines up in the slot and runs routes. Sometimes he even takes snaps at quarterback in a Wildcat look.

You can add one more task to Samuel’s list. Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer hinted Monday that Samuel would be the team’s new punt returner. On Wednesday, he reiterated that thought.

“Just a skill set that’s a ‘Wow,’” Meyer said.

I think Samuel should only be used as a kick and/or punter in desperate situations... just my 2 cents.
Agreed, too valuable to the team. But it worked for FSU using Peter Warrick back in the day, also Ted Ginn, Reggie Bush, Darren Sproles, etc. I understand risking injury, but I also understand wanting your most dynamic player always in a position to score

I'm fine with him being the punt returner. Dontre played his way out of the position. I'd rather have Samuel back there than a true freshman like McCall. I can't remember the last time a tOSU player got hurt on a punt return so I'm not worried about that. We're in the home stretch of the season now, let's get our best playmakers the football. Who knows, a punt return from maybe the most dynamic playmaker in the country might turn the season for us.

CURTIS SAMUEL SCORED THREE TOUCHDOWNS ON JUST NINE TOUCHES DURING OHIO STATE'S 62-3 DISMANTLING OF MARYLAND

76571_h.jpg,qitok=29KrmPmk.pagespeed.ce.FTzqEow9T9.jpg

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Sound the alarms: Curtis Samuel only had nine touches in a football game.

Thankfully for the Buckeyes, he made them count, scoring three touchdowns during the team's 62-3 bashing of Maryland.

“He only touched it nine times?" Doggone it, we gotta do a better job," Urban Meyer joked after the game "That's ridiculous.”

Samuel's touches were limited because the game got out of hand in a hurry and he sat the entire second half while younger players got reps.

When he did play, however, Samuel was undoubtably the most explosive player on the field. He hauled in five passes 74 yards and a touchdown and had four carries for 38 yards and two touchdowns.
