RB TreVeyon Henderson (Official Thread)

He's probably maxed out his draft stock at this point, but RB's don't get paid in the NFL so it might be worth it to him to run against college defenses for another year if the NIL money is similar to draft money. Maybe if he can come in next year and stay healthy for the whole season he can bump his stock a little. Fingers crossed.
I think him staying healthy for an entire season will be the biggest sell to NFL teams. He hasn’t had 1 fully healthy season, and it’s a big reason why his frosh year has the best stats, though he did look really great at times this year, but it wasn’t consistent enough. Not sure if sometimes that was due to him or the play calling

*per sources. Yeah. At worst MJH will be the 3rd pick. That’s worth nearly 40m, with 20-25m up front as a signing bonus. If we have an NIL pool this deep we would get every top portal player and have the #1 class every year.

Not to mention those top rookie contracts are fully guaranteed. If he shatters his leg tomorrow or has some sort of Katzenmoyer neck injury he doesn’t lose a dime.
I mean, there are ten million Ohio State fans. If everyone donated $10 a year to THE Foundation, that's $100M/year to play with.

TreVeyon Henderson isn’t yet ready to decide whether he will enter the 2024 NFL draft or stay at Ohio State for his senior season.

Amid speculation that Henderson could remain with the Buckeyes for another season, Henderson clarified Wednesday on social media that he has “never announced nor made a decision on what my next steps would be.”

When Chip Trayanum announced last week that he was entering the transfer portal, rumors began to circulate that Henderson planned to return for his senior year. No such confirmation has come from Henderson, however, leaving the door open for Ohio State’s top running back to go pro after this season.
It’s not yet certain whether Henderson will even play in the Cotton Bowl, as he was not among the players who met with the media on Tuesday, when six other members of Ohio State’s junior class confirmed they would play against Missouri even though they have not yet decided whether they will enter the 2024 NFL draft.
Should Henderson choose to stay for another year, it would provide a massive boost to Ohio State’s 2024 offense. A first-team All-Big Ten selection this season, Henderson accumulated 1,083 yards from scrimmage and ran for 11 touchdowns in nine regular-season games, reestablishing himself as one of the most explosive running backs in college football after an injury-plagued 2022 season.
That said, Henderson is projected to be one of the top running backs in the 2024 draft class if he goes pro.
If Henderson leaves, Ohio State would lose four of its five scholarship running backs from this season. Trayanum transferred to Kentucky, Evan Pryor transferred to Cincinnati and Miyan Williams declared for the 2024 NFL draft.
The departure of Henderson would almost certainly leave the Buckeyes looking for a transfer running back of their own to pair with Dallan Hayden in next year’s backfield. Ohio State also has three incoming freshman running back commits in James Peoples, Jordan Lyle and Sam Williams-Dixon, though it remains uncertain whether Lyle will sign with the Buckeyes next week as he is scheduled to make an official visit to Miami this weekend.
