RB TreVeyon Henderson (Official Thread)

There will be a game down the line the team will need that “unreal talent”. The staff needs to make sure he’s ready for that moment. He’s not a workhorse..

Agree. Obviously a really good player but it's becoming clearer he might not be the kind of back where you count on him for every play of the season. I kindof assumed Miyan Williams would transfer last offseason and it turns out him staying was huge.

I think having Pryor in his class helped, since neither are workhorse RBs. But both are dynamic players. As long as they split carries, both will be dangerous

Maybe the staff forced him to put the boot on as a precaution after the game, because he walked onto the field after halftime still dressed and no boot, although he was limping.
What is your expectation for Henderson this week? The rest of the season? Myself I am forced to reduce my expectations. Not just me but those who had him in top 5 to 10 in pre season Heisman.

Let’s be honest, he’s a RB, the Heisman was a never a realistic expectation
Maybe so be next season I'd put he and Braelen Allen as the front runners preseason. This season its definitely going QB unless Bama uses Will Anderson in some special ways. He's already got an Int for TD so it could conceivably happen unless CJ does CJ things going forward

Naw, still too many talented QBs in CFB that the Heisman will lean towards. Just to name a few: Caleb Williams-USC, JJ McCarthy-scUM, Quinn Ewers- Tejas, Cade Klubnik- Clemson, and then insert some transfer portal QB.
Henderson shares the ball too much to ever put up the stats to ever be in a serious Heisman convo. A Heisman RB will need to have at least 2000+ all purpose yards, and I don't see Henderson getting that, with Williams, Hayden and a healthy Pryor

Likely the case, keep everything compressed so you don't injure it worse before diagnosing what the injury is. Good news is it sounds like Tre is a go for tomorrow. Think we are going to need him at certain points of this game, though I think this is the type of matchup where Miyan could shine. Either way, being full strength in the RB room is important, especially against Bucky. Hope to see Tre ball out.

Will Anderson also committed 4 penalties in the Texas game where almost all of the voters were watching.

Co8unt me among the fans that don't think or have angst over individual awards. I think most players feel the same and would prefer to hoist the trophy that matters at the end of the season.

Yeah, the team Championship trophies (B1G and National) are the important ones; however, the individual awards are the "icing on the cake".

They elevate the perception of the football program to a higher standard, definitely help with recruiting, and are really impressive in the "trophy room".

Most definitely. The more individual awards you have in the WHAC for recruits to see, the better. I loved walking through there and seeing all the individual trophies. Same goes with all the AA's in Buckeye Grove. Winning titles is the primary objective, but if your individual guys get the love along the way it's pretty nice.

As to Tre, he's among the most talented backs in the nation. Problem is there is only one football and we have one of the best QB's we've ever had and an amazing WR group, plus Miyan is too good not to put in there. Unfortunately that makes the individual awards tough when you have other guys rack up the stats for RBs they have to lean on to win.
