That’s all you pulled out of that comment? Of the OSU RBs drafted you could only argue that he’s maybe better than Mike Weber who was drafted in the 7th round and he has put up no where near Weber’s numbers! Honestly he was the 5th best RB on the field yesterday! Treveyon has done great things as a freshman but the trio we faced today looked more dynamic and consistent and their OL just wanted it more!I think you are way off base thinking Williams wont get drafted.
Yesterday was much more a case of the OL for scUM being better and simply wanting it more. But talent for talent Williams is better than every scUM RB. Exhibit A is simply the Minny game and then Exhibit B would be the Purdue game. Williams can punish defenses and get 1-2 extra yards every run, something Henderson hasn't mastered yet. That’s all you pulled out of that comment? 2. TreVeyon Henderson, Ohio State
There's a long list of powerful running backs to come through Ohio State, and if 2021 was a glimpse of what is still to come for TreVeyon Henderson in Columbus, he's sure to be remembered among the greats. His average of 7 yards per carry led the entire Big Ten, ending the year with 1,172 yards and 15 touchdowns. While those totals trail Michigan's Hassan Haskins (1,288 yards, 20 touchdowns), context matters: Henderson did what he did on 167 total carries, nearly 100 fewer than the 261 times Haskins was fed the football. Henderson also made himself useful as a pass-catcher, hauling 285 yards and 4 touchdowns over 23 receptions.
Pro Career? As a KR 3 rd down back? He needs to have a good off season..
Yeah, it’s funny to write off a kid after year 1. And a frosh year where he set a Frosh TD record and was one of our 3 most explosive offensive players. Every freshman RB won’t have a season like BijanIf he left after 1 year? Sure. Vision might not be easy to develop, but its weirdly early to write him off as just that. He'll have a ton of film and time to work with this spring and summer.
Not writing him off. Can he become more than what he was? Michael Wiley or Heisman trophy candidate. If he left after 1 year? Sure. Vision might not be easy to develop, but its weirdly early to write him off as just that. He'll have a ton of film and time to work with this spring and summer.
CFB expectations have become unreal. It’s not all, but definitely a segment of every fanBase that expects a 5star to become one of the best players once they hit the field. Recruiting has now set unreal expectations , because the higher you’re rated the more you’re expected to be so early. Hence some expecting Ewers to start over Stroud after the Oregon game, and be given more plays against Tulsa (but yet he probably didn’t know where half his classes were on campus). And we’re all to blame who follow recruiting to a point. Because we lose our shit over getting that 5star like Henderson, and yawn at getting a “backup plan” like Miyan Williams. Gone are the days of being patient with a high ranked player in todays CFB, and it sucks for the kids. But they’re no longer kids at this pointDafuq, kid came in after not playing his Sr. Year of high school and had a monster year. He was running behind a line built for pass protection, not running sand still had numerous amazing runs not to mention setting a freshman TD record.
some folks on this site need to get a fucking grip….
