RB Roderick Smith (Official Thread)

The way he cuts at his size really is like watching Adrian Peterson. Hopefully he runs with the same aggression too. Actually, I'd say he runs more like Darren McFadden. He doesn't really truck anyone. He just blows by people.

Sounds like a first class get. And in a period of drought, it seems. I was disturbed when I read earlier that a four star Ohio kid was going to Indiana (not that they don't need some). Now, I don't care :)

Go Bucks!

Buckeyes snag top 10 junior running back recruit Roderick Smith

Ohio State added a seventh player to its 2010 recruiting class today when four-star running back Roderick Smith gave an oral commitment to Ohio State, several recruiting outlets have reported.

He is ranked as the No. 6 running back in his class by Scout.com and the No. 5 running back by Rivals.com. His final choice came down to Ohio State and Michigan State. Great news. Hes the RB I want in this class. Love his highlights. Whoever mentioned that Rod looked a little like Darren McFadden when he runs is spot on. Dude has serious burst. Welcome to Buckeye Nation!

This is great news. We need a powerback on this roster. I realize we have Hyde and Boom (I don't really consider Boom a powerback, but some might), but Smith looks like he could be in the mold of the typical OSU powerback (Eddie, Beanie, and Byars). Go Bucks!!! :osu:
