Ohio State added a seventh player to its 2010 recruiting class today when four-star running back Roderick Smith gave an oral commitment to Ohio State, several recruiting outlets have reported.
Smith is a 6-foot-2, 220-pound back from Fort Wayne, Ind., and joins Illinois quarterback Taylor Graham as the second skill position player in the class.
He is ranked as the No. 6 running back in his class by Scout.com and the No. 5 running back by Rivals.com. His final choice came down to Ohio State and Michigan State. In his freshman season in 2010, he'd be looking at joining a running back crew that would include Brandon Saine, Dan Herron, Jaamal Berry and Carlos Hyde.
