RB Miyan “Chop” Williams (Official Thread)

I didn't mean to turn this thread into a Henderson one. I am not going to argue with any of you that he needs more vision and the injury situation at OSU as a whole is a major major issue, but as I stated Henderson needs to be used properly. No he isn't going to be the best between the tackles runner, but the Kid didn't get a pass his way for like 8 weeks, this forum was pissed about it. Use his God given talents ( a 225lb 19yr Kid that runs a low 4.4). Wheel routes, screens, option to wide side of field ( I don't think this is in Days playbook right now), etc etc. For 12 games this year Day was stupidly determined to show the football world how fucking tough his team was, all it did was get all of OSUs backs injured over the course of the year. Which culminated with OSU starting a linebacker at running back in "The Game"

If Day learns one thing from this year, it needs to be this. Don't hold back on your playcalling. Blow MFers out and then put the backups in and let them run the full playbook.
Totally agree with everything. Especially getting our starters out ASAP and I agree we've got to allow the back ups to operate the offense fully.

If that means 70-0 then thats on them for not adjusting even when we have back ups in.

Sorting out the running back room is going to be a good problem to have.

not only do we have a bunch of guys, but we have a bunch of guys who have been limited so you don’t really know what they’re fully capable of

but I wouldn’t short change Hayden. he shows a lot, and could make a huge sophomore leap with a full offseason of work like so many OSU backs have historically. watching him you can just see how much growth there is for his game on top of an already very productive freshman season

MIYAN WILLIAMS, EVERYONE. Whenever Miyan Williams carries the football, he runs like his hair is on fire. It must be the Miyan Williams Way, the Cincinnati Way, the Winton Woods Way – I don't know. Whatever it is, Williams is one of the hardest running back in college football for defenders to take down.

In fact, according to a Twitter account called Football Insights, Williams is the hardest running back in college football for defenders to take down.

Mmhmm. You read that correctly. Based on statistics like missed tackles forced and yards after contact dating back to 2014, Williams is harder to bring to the turf than Bijan Robinson, Roschon Johnson, Javonte Williams, Kenneth Walker III, Travis Etienne, Alvin Kamara, Dalvin Cook, Jonathan Taylor, Miles Sanders, Joe Mixon, David Montgomery and several other notable players.

Can someone help me find Nick Chubb? I was told a few years ago that I’m borderline visually impaired so I’m sure I’m missing where one of the best running backs to play during the NFL’s modern era falls.

But fuck yeah Miyan.

It seems to me that he's in the dog house this year. He was the clear 1a last year and ran really well. Now he's the 3rd string and rarely sees the field.
I dont think he's in the doghouse. I think each year is different and some players get better. Last year when healthy, Treveyon was the best RB and is this year and at times the power RB can be better. Last year that was Miyan, and this year it is Chip. It's not unrealistic to think that Chip became the better RB in the off season. He's always been an athletic freak. I think Miyan got passed up due to Chip just being better
