RB Michael Weber (New Jersey Generals)

Mind of Mike
Not surprisingly, as the Michigan fiasco continues, the current recruiting class begins to look at other options. Two more names to look at are four-star running back Mike Weber and four-star linebacker Darrin Kirkland Jr.. Both have stated that they will take official visits to other schools, with Kirkland already taking one to Notre Dame for the Stanford game. Weber has not yet scheduled anything, but look for Michigan State, Ohio State and Tennessee to be in the picture when he does begin to take visits. Is there anyone left committed to Michigan that isn't looking around? This has become a dumpster fire.

I don't think you turn away either...but you likely only take one. If one commits, you're done with RB recruiting for the year. Just my guess.

That was my guess as well. Especially with a loaded 2016 class that could see us getting 3 guys that could suit up at RB or Pivot, and not to mention we still have a redshirted Parris Campbell who's waiting to be unleashed as well. I figured we needed a viable option after Harris with him looking so hard at UK

The situation with four-star running back Mike Weber, another commit that Michigan is desperately holding on to, is an interesting one. There were rumors that Weber would visit Michigan State for the Ohio State game, but that never materialized. And for now the Spartans are ok with this. It's not that they don't think he is a very good running back, just that the position is not a huge priority for them right now. That brings us to Ohio State, which may turn out to be the more likely scenario. The Buckeyes are still hoping for Damien Harris, but as I already mentioned, he is definitely trending towards Kentucky right now. So if Harris does go to Kentucky, it is likely that the Buckeyes will put the full court press on Weber. Keep in mind that Weber is far from a fallback option as he is an elite-level back who is also having a very impressive senior season. Whoever ends up with Weber should be extremely excited.
