I think JT made clear that MC was contacting him, and he was just trying to get Mo a shot at NFL Europe. JT has nothing to gain or lose from helping MC now, he was just doing what he thought was right.A good question indeed. If JT thinks there's a good kid in there, the answer is probably never. He knows, better than anyone, the bad advice that MoC has gotten since he was, oh...about 5, but especially when he got to HS and then to OSU. I'm not making excuses for him at all, far from it, and I'm sure JT wouldn't either, but he's talked about how his team is part of his family a lot...so I am guessing he would never turn his back on his family, no matter what, so that may be where he is coming from...I'm just speculating, of course.
Seldom has a picture perfectly captured the essence of a football player. It was funny how OSU fans defended him when that picture came out, saying he was caught in the act by ESPN had how he had no idea what was going on. How stupid does that sound now?

I agree. Even though Clarett is not a popular figure in Columbus I smell a rat.
Why do we continue to smell rats and conspiracies where this knucklehead is concerned? Knowing what we do about him, it is entirely likely that he was stupid enough to try to rob someone that he may or may not have known (but who likely would've recognized him, at least) in Columbus behind a bar where he knew the owner.
Rosenhaus wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole. The only thing that could make MoC look like more of a shitheel right now would be if he was being represented by Drew Rosenhaus.

• Not to get too heavy, but: If the Maurice Clarett robbery charges turn out to be true, does Jim Tressel and Ohio State's give-him-what-he-wants policy bear any responsibility?
