RB Maurice Clarett (B1G Freshman of the Year, National Champion)

Well, hell, Dan, we're helluva sorry but who could have predicted a guy with so much integrity would pull out at the last moment?

:roll1:

I mean, when you do business with someone who is the ultimate poster child for sanity, reliability, honesty and trustworthiness, who's to guess that a guy like that wouldn't show up?

And, what the hey, the guy has got to listen to his advisors, I mean, look where his advisors have gotten him in life already! Heck, he'll turn in a sub 6 forty come the trials, just you wait, and while that may not seem like much, you try pulling along five or six extra personalities when you're running. That's not all that easy.

very good work by the agent.. who said "Hey Mo, you're going to finish 7th out of 6 spots... then you won't get drafted till June... I'll tell everyone it was my decision so you won't look stupid... well, at least not any more stupid than you have already shown to the public"

This stinks. You remember what MoC did the last time he felt "something" had made him look bad and he had to "clear his name" with the NFL scouts.

Now, once again, "something" is making him look bad. Just wait, in a week or two (or maybe he'll wait till after the combine in case "something" makes him look bad there too), he'll have to "clear his name." Here we go again...

yeah....those skills competitions are real dangerous. you know....those non-contact running drills. what a good move.
I think the real risk was stubbing his toe on the ramp before he ran out onto the field...stubbed toes HURT

Any takers on whether or not he comes up with an excuse to duck the combine?
10 bucks on "I've heard about people losing their arms and legs in those things, I'm not getting near one so close to the draft." To get the full picture, you'll have to imagine his agent standing beside him at the press conference with a newsclipping from the Cedar Rapids Tribune "LOCAL FOOTBALL PLAYER LOSES ARM IN COMBINE"
