RB John Clay (official thread)

Rivals $

5/24/06

Film.

First clips look they are of a different player than the next several clips. He starts out in a white jersey looking like a bruising runner in the Eddie George mold. Then they clips switch to John in a blue jersey and he is gertting thrown around a bit. He has obviosuly grown in the last 7-8 months because in some of the older clips he definitely doesn't look 6-2 220.

Wow that is great. If we could get John Clay that could end up to be one of the best backfield in OSU History. Imagine and having Chris Wells and John Clay in the backfield with each other. We pick him up and we could move Saine to WR and that would be a massive offense.

can't help but wonder if tOSU is being used as recruits' selling pitch, again!? it sure wouldn't be the first time of this happening that some big time recruits flirt with us for the sole purpose to garner the attentions from other coaches. i may be TOOO much of a pessimist, and i apologize. i, like many, would also hope his interest is genuine.....

Only one problem, he said the same thing about Texas, that if they offered, UT is his first choice. I don't think he would settle for splitting time with Chris Wells.

I'm sure texas' bare bones rb depth is quite appealing to him.

Honestly, I wonder if he isn't just blowing smoke to the osu reporter in this interview. With his 2 good friends (Toon, Oglesby), and the allure of a new young coach, I can't see him leaving the state.

I don't want to knock BSB too much, but this seems almost like a Go Blue type of update. It just seems like they somewhat twisted what he said to make it seem like we were the leader. I still think Wisconsin is in the lead. Does anyone else agree that his quote about OSU being on top is sort of used out of context?
