What can one say but...but..but..[censored]! Damn white kid can't take an ass whoppin'. (By the way, I am white (or euro-american, caucasin (sp?) or what ever folks call white people today). I call the plantiff out. Damn sissy!:box:

What happened to the days where guys could get in a scrap and an hour later have a beer and laugh about it?

Did you miss that part that stated that the kid that got punched had just been hit by a car?

Berry, a redshirt sophomore running back, was with another African-American male and was allegedly yelling at the victim and his friend, after the victim was struck by a car. The victim, who The Lantern has chosen not to name at this time, said that Berry and his friend were yelling vulgar remarks at him. After asking why they were yelling, the victim said that Berry crossed the street and punched his friend, and then punched him in the face with a closed fist.

So, instead of offering help to the victim of a car accident he took the time to shout insults at him and then crossed the street and hit the person who'd been struck by a car in the face with his fist? Yeah, we should have a beer and laugh about that.

This begs the question of: Why did the Ohio State player cross the road?

No, he struck the victims friend, not the guy who was struck by the car. Had there not been a civil suit filed against Berry there might have been a chance to have that beer and laugh about the incident, although ESPN probably would have jumped on it saying that a bullied victim of an OSU player purchased a beer and is suspended for the next 5 games.

Goodbye Jaamal. I hope you enjoyed your time in Columbus.

Getting into a fight with a buddy and being attacked/assaulted by somebody who plays football (and likely in great physical condition) are two different things. I am making a guess that this was one sided and Jamal started and ended the encounter. It would likely be similar to a 270 lb lineman beating the crap out of Jamal?probably not a fair fight.

Exactly. If he would have picked a fight with the wrong person and received the bad end of it. People would have been ticked off at the guy who did it. "Ticked off" is an understatement btw.

We definitely don't have all the facts in this one.
I need to know from exactly what angle and the velocity at which his fist was traveling when he punched this guy unprovoked before I decide whether or not I think he should be kicked off the team.

If possible, I would also like to know how high his voice was when he bragged about it.

BuckeyePlanet is proud to be a community where any facet of football play can be discussed and debated in an atmosphere of respect for the players and coaches who work so hard to make us all proud. If you bash a Buckeye coach or player on this site, you will leave for 14 days. Period. No warnings, no edits, no lengthy PM debates....straight out the door.

Before anyone crosses the line in this thread, I thought I'd provide a reminder of BP's policy for everyone. Let's go with we don't have all the facts in this case.
