RB Jaamal Berry (Transfer to Murray State)

OK, so I know he was playing at the very end when it was well over. But dang does Berry have a great balance of speed and power. He was running downhill hard and smacking some people, but yet he has a great wiggle in there as well. I can't help but wonder what he'd look like against a first team defense. Hmmm...maybe next year?

He did look fantastic - tonight's tease was worth the years wait. My only problem is I'd like to see the RB avoid big hits unless the situation calls for it and you need that extra yard. If you try to put hits on linebackers every play it will catch up with you.

Can't wait to see more of this kid.

I'd say he has a good chance this year. All it takes is for someone to get dinged and boom he's in there.

The kid is scary good, the breakaway ability is clearly there and he was running behind a mix of the second and third string O-Lineman (who did a good job in their own right).

He is a great mix of all of our backs...cutting and wiggle of Boom, speedy like Saine, good vision and instincts like Hall, chuggs for extra yardage. I could see him exploding on the scene next year in a starting capability.

I think a lot of us, especially being his first game, expected to see lots of quickly bouncing it to the outside and getting caught moving sideways or hemmed against the sidelines. Instead, the kid went straight behind blockers up the gut, stayed low to the ground and just burst through with speed and authority. Very impressed from what I saw

Kid's fighting for carries, he's gotta run hard..plus you can end up getting hurt more if you try TOO hard to avoid contact.
