I remember for like the first half of the season our longest run was like 34 yds by either Barrett or Samuel, and now Elliot is busting off a 50 yarded every game. Next year with the potential of playing 15 games he's gonna be staring at 2,500+ yards right in the face. He's a complete back that doesn't have to come off the field and has ideal strength and speed right now.

And not to mention he'll have two healthy wrists.

I also would like to point out his effort on the interception by Cyrus Jones. He fought (bulldozed) thru 3 blockers to knock him out of bounds or he was gonna house it. They still scored, but his toughness and effort were very apparent on that play.

No, the numbers were correct as stated, at least according to Ohio State's official website:

Indiana: 13 rushes, 107 yards, 1 TD
Michigan: 17 rushes, 121 yards, 2 TD
Wisconsin: 20 rushes, 220 yards, 2 TD
Alabama: 20 rushes, 230 yards, 2 TD____
4 game total: 70 rushes, 678 yards, 7 TD

Just one more thing about Zeke....

In analyzing the Virginia Tech debacle, we like to blame the inexperienced offensive line, a quarterback making his second career start, and a coaching staff unprepared for the Bear defense combining to form the perfect storm. Well, at the eye of that storm was Ezekiel Elliott, who was still recovering from a broken wrist suffered during the preseason. Elliott was still running tentatively in the Virginia Tech game, and he had only 8 rushes for 32 yards and a touchdown.

In his first 3 games of the season, Zeke had only 27 rushes for 140 yards (5.2 average) and 2 TDs.

In his next 7 games, when he was presumably fully healthy, Zeke had 140 rushes for 813 yards (5.8 average) and 5 TDs, which are really good numbers. In this case, the early bye weeks really helped, as Zeke was able to recover from his broken wrist and get on a roll in time for the conference schedule.

In his last 4 games, Zeke has played at a different level, a level that we have rarely seen even from Ohio State's greatest running backs. If Zeke can have one more outstanding game like his last four (especially his last two), then the Buckeyes have a very good chance to beat Oregon and win a national championship.
