RB Ezekiel Elliott (All B1G, All-American, National Champion, Pro Bowl, All Pro, Dallas Cowboys)

Another 2015 Heisman candidate emerges from this team...

Ohio State will have played the top 3 Heisman contenders in 3 consecutive games. In the first two, Elliott put up better numbers than the opposing Heisman hopeful. He doesn't need to put up better numbers than Mariotta does (how do you compare a QB's stats to a RB's, anyway?), but if Ohio State wins on the 12th, how can you NOT put Elliott on the pre-season Heisman lists? (Along with whoever is the starting quarterback for Ohio State.)

I can't wait to see what next season has in store with an experienced offensive line. I remember for like the first half of the season our longest run was like 34 yds by either Barrett or Samuel, and now Elliot is busting off a 50 yarded every game. Next year with the potential of playing 15 games he's gonna be staring at 2,500+ yards right in the face. He's a complete back that doesn't have to come off the field and has ideal strength and speed right now.

The thing I noticed in rewatching the Sugar Bowl, and it every game with this kid.....nothing new, is how hard he hits when he blocks.

I know its been well covered but I honestly can't remember another back I have ever seen be so consistently punishing in that aspect of the game.

I am big on the mental aspect of sports and the discipline it takes to perform the non glamorous aspect of your job so well is truly a joy to watch.

That is what makes him special in my mind. Kid is a coaches dream.

Jamar Martin comes to mind for me. Yeah, a fullback.

Credit for a lot of those long runs goes to Spencer. Thomas, Smith, Marshall, et al. The line gets him the first 3-10 or so. The receivers help turn them into long runs. And then you have Zeke's consistent great effort and ability taking advantage of his blocking.
