RB Ezekiel Elliott (All B1G, All-American, National Champion, Pro Bowl, All Pro, Dallas Cowboys)

I feel like we did so (outside of the MSU game). Zeke got a ton of carries, threw a lot of pass (97) and run support blocks, and caught 26 passes (16 more than Henry). The amount they utilized Zeke was just enough without risking injury. The problem is that we don't have a solid backup to send in while Zeke rests. We had Curtis Samuel but he has now gone to the WR-HB camp. That said, who knows what Henry will look like in the playoffs after this game against Florida. Will he be sore and beat up? Maybe. I personally think that was the risk the coaches were trying to avoid but it bit them in the butt one particular game.
I can't give them that much credit..we had revolving QB's and our game plans looked disjointed. I thought the coaches would build onto the VA tech plan but we just wandered around all year.

And Henry will have his Heisman while Beck is trying to get all his playmakers touches.
1) Beck is at best a distant 2nd in the offense possibly 3rd.

2) Saban would have murdered joey freshwater if he ignored Henry yet again like he did in the sugar.

3) Playmakers like these should get the football and both qbs have the talent to do so. Unfortunately the blocking is weak and the qbs are stunted, primarily because of Urban's juggling.

4) osu never stopped Henry, only Lane did. Sims was their worst qb in years. This qb is even worse than Sims.

Obviously, but large factions of Buckeyes were screaming for Moar carries!!!1!1 when he would get 25 rushes. Obviously Elliott deserved more touches in that one game (and frankly no others), but cowardice was the main problem there and more touches for Zeke would not have fixed that.

The spartan scheme was hideous but that was the opposite of turning to playmakers. That was frightened playcalling that assumed defeat before actually failing, and in so doing assured itself of failure nonetheless.

However, Zeke has only had a single 30-attempt rush game (ttun). Henry had 46 - FOURTY SIX - attempts against Auburn. He also eclipsed the 30+ attempt marker twice. Of course he's going to had good total numbers.
Henry has 295 carries in 12 games (24.6 rpg), while Zeke has 262 carries in 12 games (21.8 rpg), less than three carries a game difference. Henry also had three games where he carried the ball 13 times or less: Wisconsin (13), Louisiana-Monroe (13), and Charleston-Southern (9), which was the game before the Iron Bowl.

And Zeke also has had 2 times under 13 carries - Va Tech (11) and MSU (12). My point is that Henry has almost 30 more carries than Zeke, not counting the additional game this weekend, and majority of those additional carries have come in multiple games spurning 30/40+ attempts. Hell even Zeke himself tweeted out "40+ carries, must be nice."

Exactly. While the rpg number may be small, it's misleading. You multiply that out over the course of the season, and the result is that Henry had a lot more opportunities than Zeke.

Under 3 carries a game...not really that much of a difference. Henry had three games with 30+ carries out of twelve. Two of those games were their two biggest games: LSU (38 carries) and Auburn (46 carries). You can't blame Saban and Kiffin for riding their bell cow in their biggest games. But, if you take out those two games, he has 211 carries in ten games. If you take out Zeke's two highest-carry games (30 and 27), he has 205 carries in ten games, nearly identical. So Henry should be punished by Heisman voters because Saban and Kiffin used him the most when they should've? Look, no one wants to see Zeke win the Heisman more than I do, other than Zeke himself and his family. But you can't punish Henry for being employed as he was.
