George hopes to land job with ESPN

Former Titans running back Eddie George interviewed for a position with ESPN yesterday in New York, a job that could put him on the national network this fall.

After sitting out last season, George said he's resigned to the fact his football days are over. He's now pursuing other interests full-time.

"I haven't turned in my (retirement) papers. I plan on doing that at some point, but I haven't done it yet,'' George said. "Right now I'm focusing on TV and other things like that.''

George, who played from 1996-2003 with the Titans before spending one season in Dallas, has done some work with ESPN in the past, appearing on Cold Pizza. On Sunday night, he conducted an interview of Colts quarterback Peyton Manning on WKRN-2.

The Titans organization has discussed the idea of letting George sign a one-day deal to retire as a Titan, something that could happen at some point later this year.

George said he expects to find out about his chance of landing the ESPN job next week.

"We'll see,'' George said. "It could be college football, pro football. I'm just seeing where I fit in with (television).''

All these poor reviews for the Grille is making me nervous. I have to go there for work in about a month. Hope it's not too poor.
ive been there, its not "poor" but dont expect the best food youve ever had. its good food, but nothing super special. id go back if it was just a regular place, prob not a firts choice place. but, like bhof part of the appeal is that its not a reg place.

EA Sports Commerical: Fake Punt/Eddie George

Haven't seen anyone post about it but I just saw it for the first time. It was CLASSIC! Apparently it's a new strategy style game or whatever (I don't play these stupid games!). Dude is telling Jeff Fisher to run the fake punt and after few back and forth comments Fisher calls for the fake punt and makes a snide remark that it was a "dumb" call (not sure if this is verbatim). Then the guy questions "what?" and Fisher says the call was "dumb" and it won't work. Dude then says, "getting rid of Eddie George was 'dumb'". I about spit out my food!
