RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

wow......I think he will fit right in at tOSU......I watched his film and all I can say is that he has excellent feet, speed, power and vision. On most of the films he would break several tackles and then just simply out run the pursuit. He has the cut back ability and he has the knack of following his blockers until the last possible second and then hitting the hole at top speed.

If there is a more impressive back in the country next year, someone tell me who it is.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!! I lvoe this kid. What an unexpected commit this early in the process. Chris obviously saw the situation that presented itself and acted upon it. His career as Buckeye should be one that will rival all the other great past/present RBs.

WELCOME CHRIS!!! WELCOME TO THE GREATEST FOOTBALL FAMILY EVER!!!!

I won't argue that point but I will warn everyone to prepare for the rankings...early commits are never the number 1 player in their groups. Example, Dan Doering and Eugene Monroe both paled in comparison to Alex Boone in San Antonio. However, both of those guys were rated higher because they were not yet committed all season.

LeSean McCoy and possibly some others will pass Chris on the national rankings, but it is simply to sell subscriptions. We picked up the best Jr./rising Sr. back in the nation today.

Quick! Someone pinch me! I am in shock! I am soooo excited! If I could, I'd do back flips right now! This is one of the things I was hoping for. It is like a birthday present come early! Chris Wells, Welcome to the buckeye nation! I can't wait to see you running the ball. It can't come soon enough! Oh, if this is the start of things to come, Way to start it off Chris!!!!

i was one of those guys thinking that wells would end up at linebacker, but it only shows how little i know.

when i saw wells last year he ran a little stiff and upright. he also kept coming out of the game because of being winded it seemed. i saw the athleticism but not the tailback skills that night.

i have now seen the rivals video though and i must say it was impressive. i hope to see him his senior year and see how he has progressed.

I agree with grad nobody will have Wells rated #1 unless he pulls an Adrian Petersen at the AA game(which is possible) I think all the vets on this site realize that rankings don't mean crap anyways. We had several players that never played a down lose 20-30 spots in their respective position.

I thought Monroe committed to Virginia real early? I actually think Monroe is the only lineman on Boone's level in this class.

The local papers in Va had him as a really early commit. I agree entirely with your post Savante, and think it's the exception to the rule that an early commit doesn't slide in the rankings.
