RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

He lookd so solid tonight. It sucks. 2 runs of 10+ yards called back on ticky tack calls that wouldn't have had an impact anyways. The fumble absoluteky sucks. If he keeps the ball in his hands, HE FORCES his way into the starting line-up. As is, they can cn continue to bounce him around. But that is no one faults but Beanie's. Hold onto the football Chris.....dang.

Overall he ran well and played a nice game, but again his ability to pick up short yardage was poor. I know he bulled in for the touchdown but the same thing he struggled with at Ohio state seems to have followed him.......getting caught.tripped up in the backfield.

3rd and 1 at ARI 44C.Wells left end to SF 45 for 11 yards (P.Willis).
2nd and 3 at SF 38C.Wells up the middle to SF 36 for 2 yards (J.Smith).
3rd and 1 at SF 36C.Wells right tackle to SF 38 for -2 yards (P.Willis).

What would you like Beanie to do when the DT is 3-5 yds deep and gives Willis time to close on the run?

3rd and 1 at SF 34K.Warner pass short right to C.Wells to SF 10 for 24 yards (M.Lawson). Caught at SF 33.
4th and 1 at SF 1C.Wells right guard for 1 yard, TOUCHDOWN.

The drive where beanie "struggled", featured SEVEN rushes by beanie & 1 failed playaction pass on 2nd & 1. They knew it was coming and he kept rumbling for most of that drive.

Did he forget to hit the hitstick button that runs through brick walls of defenders?

WHY??? WHY??? Give Tim Hightower the ball on the 1 yard line after Beanie did all the work

I was thinking the same thing. Being stationed here in Tucson, you here a lot of people clamoring for more Beanie sightings. When Beanie gets the rock 12+ times, the Cards win.

He is much more tougher than Hightower and IMO has better vision for finding open space. The Cards need to decide on a #1 back and let him be the work horse for the game. The tempo changes drastically when they switch it up.
