However Florida had no one else that could get tough yards like Tebow could...

...because, as Meyer is quoted as saying above, "he's never had the bigger backs like he has at Ohio State, but he's always wanted these types of backs."

Correct me if I'm wrong, but, to this point, didn't Meyer recruit Carlos Hyde while he was still at Florida?

I know rules say no info from social networking sites, but if they are tweet from media and has quotes from Dunn, are they allowed to be posted? (The ones i'm looking at are from BSB)

That is fine...

We don't have an established every down back returning next year. That's wonderful that we have three backs on the roster, but none of them have been the #1 back for this program. Playing time is available and Dunn is a helluva football player with a college ready body.

You never really know, at the beginning of the 1972 season some freshman running back named Griffin didn't start all that high on the depth chart.

cool read,an article that puts things in perspective. Pretty crazy that Urban has never had a 1000 yard rusher at RB.

Just a note on that Repository article which "puts things in perspective", and the arbitrary 1000 yard rush benchmark.
True, Coach Meyer has never had one running back gain more than 1000 yards in a season, however here is another "perspective".

Let us instead arbitrarily consider 620 yards to be the benchmark number and comparing 8 seasons of Coach Meyers and Coach Hoke.

Between 2003-2010, Hoke (Ball State '03-'08 and SDSU '09-10) has coached 3 running backs that have exceeded 620+ yards gained in one season.

From 2003-2010, under Meyers, every team (Utah '03-04, Florida '05-10) has had at least one back carry for more than 620 yards,
All together between '03-'10,
twelve Meyers coached runners have gained 620+ yards per season, including '08 Florida team which had 3!:yow1:
Guess its all how you select the numbers. :wink2:

Would love to see Mr. Dunn carry on the tradition of excellence under Meyer's tutelage at tOSU. If not wish him the best except for one day of the year.

Free Scout - Midwest Recruiting Notebook

TUG OF WAR FOR DUNN CONTINUES: Upon taking the job at Ohio State, one of new head coach Urban Meyer's first phone calls was to five-star running back Brionte Dunn, who remains committed to the Buckeyes, but took back to back unofficial visits to Michigan. That call, in the eyes of Buckeye insiders, may have strengthened the hold on the Canton Glenoak back. Today, however, the Wolverines will have a chance to strike back, as we have learned that Michigan coaches will be headed to Canton to visit Dunn.

According to twitter, USC just offered Dunn a scholarship today, and with their reductions, they are only looking for one RB.

RenaldWilson Renald Wilson
@DustinFox37 USC in today. Offered Dunn. Only taking one TB and he's their guy.

Apparently Wilson is a GlenOak coach.

Still think it has to be down to UM-OSU, and I think he will pick OSU in the end. But good luck to him wherever he ends up.
