DUNN GETS TREATMENT
GlenOak head coach Scott Garcia is trying to develop a secondary offensive weapon opposite of Bri?onte Dunn because Garcia knows Dunn can?t carry the ball 40 times a game every week. Dunn was in GlenOak?s trainer?s room after the loss to Fitch, getting treatment for an undisclosed injury.
Garcia didn?t say much, other than that Dunn would be fine.
?We?ve can?t give it to Bri?onte 50 times a game,? Garcia said.
Dunn, who recently was offered by Ohio State, is averaging close to 40 carries a game. Two running backs who look like they could help are Jordan Autry and Josh Lever. Garcia also seemed to take exception with some of his players? focus. He said about a quarter of the team needed to ?step up their game on the field, in the classroom and in the hallways.?
?What you do all week long has a carryover effect all the way through,? Garcia said. ?They add up throughout the week and they cost you.?

PLAIN TWP. If Bri?onte Dunn has anything to say about it ? and he does now ? there will be a Stark County flavor to Ohio State?s backfield in the near future. The bruising GlenOak High School running back verbally committed to Ohio State during a phone call with Head Coach Jim Tressel this afternoon.
Dunn, just a junior, is the fourth member of Ohio State?s 2012 recruiting class. He has already rushed for 1,261 yards in five games this season and scored 14 touchdowns.
?It has been fun watching him develop not only as a football player, but as a person,? GlenOak head coach Scott Garcia said. ?He has matured the last couple of years and he will continue to grow as a young man and he will continue to work on his skills. He has made academics a priority and he has done well.?
Typically Ohio State does not offer junior players unless there is a comfort level with a player?s academics progress. Garcia has said Dunn?s grade-point average is a 3.0. He is scheduled to take the ACT test next month.
Dunn joins running back Warren Ball from Columbus DeSales, offensive tackle Kyle Kalis from Lakewood St. Edward and linebacker Joshua Perry from Olentangy Lewis Center in Ohio State?s 2012 class.
The Buckeyes must have been impressed with Dunn because they have only 14 scholarships available and Ball gave them one running back already committed.
?It really does speak to how much Ohio State wants him,? Garcia said. ?I don?t think they?re going to take a running back in this (2011) recruiting class. It?s going to be a great opportunity for him.?
Despite not having put the finishing touches on the 2011 class, the Ohio State recruiting efforts continue to make hay for 2012. Since the open period began on September 1st, the coaches have let several junior grid stars know that they have a standing offer to become Buckeyes.
One such prodigy is the immensely talented Bri'onte Dunn, a running back out of Canton GlenOak. When Dunn received word of the Ohio State offer last week, it was evident that he was thrilled with the possibility to suit up for Tressel's troops. As a matter of fact, Dunn contacted the staff this afternoon to let them know he would like to accept that offer.
