RB Brandon "Zoom" Saine (official thread)

He's invited he got a plaque at the Xenia game for it.

Are you sure that wasn't for something else, maybe even for being nominated??? I am almost 99.9% positive that only 4-5 have been invited to actually PLAY as of now.

Right here is the link for the team, only 5 players. (Scout updates this thing every day)

Obviously one or more of those reports is wrong.

The plaque was for track and football achievement - per the schools football web-site.
The Piqua Football site also reports the Xenia game saw him receive an invite to the Army AA game - yet the scout Army AA site shows only 5 invitees.
It was a must win? situation for the Piqua football team Friday night. The mere thought of starting the season 0-2 had everyone in the Indian Nation worried.
The defense came up big time after time, the offense did what they do best and Brandon Saine was Brandon Saine. He received a plaque at halftime in honor of his outstanding track accomplishments this spring as well as an invite to play in the US Army All-American High School football game in the offseason to top off an incredible night for the Tribe.

So I think the correct summary is
Plaque for athletic accomplishment.
Not a firm invitee per Scout AA,
certainly one of the nominees?

Saine carries Piqua to 35-28 victory over Trotwood in OT

PIQUA ? Two of the area's best high school football players faced each other on the same field, and it was worth the price of admission.
Brandon Saine, the Piqua running back and the area's leading scorer, pushed in from 1 yard out for the only score in overtime as Piqua topped Trotwood-Madison, 35-28, in a thriller Friday night at Alexander Stadium.
In its overtime possession, Trotwood fumbled on 1st-and-goal from the 10-yard line to end the Greater Western Ohio Conference North Division opener for both teams. Piqua (5-1, 1-0), ranked No. 2 in the Dayton Daily News Division II area poll, also blocked a 30-yard field goal attempt by No. 3 Trotwood (4-2, 0-1) as regulation time expired to send the game to overtime.
"I don't even know what to say," said Piqua coach Bill Nees.
Saine, a 6-foot-1, 218-pound senior, led Piqua with 185 yards rushing on 28 carries and scored two touchdowns, including a 70-yard sprint in the fourth quarter, to increase his total to 21 touchdowns this season.
Trotwood junior quarterback Dominick Britt, a tremendous talent at 6-5 and 180 pounds, completed 21-of-46 passes for 327 yards and added 147 yards rushing on 22 carries despite suffering leg cramps for much of the second half.
"It was intense," said Saine, who has now gained 1,034 yards in six games. "I don't think I've ever played in a game like that in my life."
Early, it wasn't quite the offensive shoot-out most expected, and Piqua led 14-13 at halftime. Britt completed 10-of-20 passes for 180 yards and ran 10 times for 57 yards and Saine rushed for 82 yards on 14 carries in the opening half.
Saine made his 70-yard run with 9:37 left in the fourth quarter to make it 28-21 Piqua. Trotwood equalized with a 12-yard pass from Britt to junior receiver Roy Roundtree, who reversed from the left sideline all the way to the end zone's right corner for the score, with 4:02 left.
Then Piqua used its star in overtime.

It was a great night for us! We now lead the rival with 69-36-6!!! Brandon and I shared the hand warmer last night. He said "Only me and you can where it since were the only future Buckeye football players here!" that was awesome!

Yes, they are our rival. We have two different rivals. Look in the paper from the other night. They aren't as big of a rival as Troy, but they are still a rival to us. If they weren't they wouldn't keep track of the record of 69-36-6
