RB Antonio Pittman (Official Thread)

If we want to win the game him and Mo Hall will get all the carries.

It's funny how all of a sudden we are all crying for Mo Hall, NEVER in 100 years would of thought that before the season started.

That said, lets not forget that aside from the 52 (or so) yard run at the end of the game he was only getting about 3 yards per carry on average, and while that is maybe light years ahead of Ross, it isn't exactly great either.

Hopefully either way we can get some more success running the ball this weekend.

I dont think anything is being left out. Hurt his quad during practice. I would guess he will not play against Purdue.
So that's a good enough reason to not make the trip with his team? Hell there are players that have broken legs and are on crutches that go on the road with thier team. That's what I don't understand about the whole thing.

You did hear that the "money" that Lydell was using wasn't fake right? Supposedly the previous owner of the club had the money printed up w/o serial numbers. when ownership of the club changed, the new owner started putting serial numbers on the platinum dollars. The money Lydell was using was the old stuff.

Nonetheless your comment was pretty funny
[sarcasm]no, im on the ESPN broadcast team so i thought lydell printed the fake money and tried to pass it at a nudie bar[/sarcasm]

seriously, yes i knew....way to ruin my joke

Keep watching those depth charts - the-ozone is normally pretty good at posting this.

My guess is Pittman will dress and travel for Purdue. I'm also guessing that Pittman and Purdue will come up in the Tuesday press conference, though likely the main topics will be Ginn, Ginn and more Ginn.

You said it. Its not that Mo Hall is that good, its that flydell is THAT BAD. I will be the first to cry for Mo Hall if it keeps Ross on the bench. Mo Hall isn't great, but he has held on to the ball. Can Ross say the same?

Of course I would rather have Pittman playing over either Ross or Hall.

I hope we see ALL of them. Well... except for maybe Lydell.

But since it's the week before we play the team up north, two thoughts come to mind: are we working on some special stuff for the Meatchicken game?? Legend has it at OSU that the coaches work on that game all year long. I know Tressel has always focused on it (job preservation?). The second thought is, what kind of weird stuff can we show them this week that they (TTUN) will have to prepare for??

Pittman, Johnson, Ross, Hall, Parker?? Ginn, Holmes, Roy Hall? Should we play Zwick a little bit this week against Purdue just to get 'em thinking??

Yeah I know, to play Zwick it would have to be a decent blowout.

Anyway, I hope that we do indeed have some neat stuff cooked up for the final game, and I also hope we see some stuff this week that we haven't done all week so Lloyd Carr will have more to prepare for. Will we see Ginn at corner this week??? Maybe not a bad idea.

Can Branden Joe throw the halfback pass???

Go Bucks!

And let's not forget that our run blocking was not near as good Saturday as it was against Penn State. At least in the Penn State game the OL was get some drive and opening holes on occasion...there was a lot less of that against Michigan State. By the way, taking away the 51-yard TD run, Hall had 52 yards on 10 carries (5.2 ypc), and as a team we rushed for 3.5 ypc even without the 51-yard TD, despite the mediocre blocking.

Not to be a stickler on stats, but Hall had 11 carries for 83 yards overall per ESPN and others, so minus the 1 for 51, that is 10 for 32 or 3.2...

I will agree though, we looked MUCH MUCH better vs. PSU, who supposedly had the much better defense than MSU, go figure.
