Rate a Position....Part 3..WR

Yeah, Braylon and Ginn played every position for their teams- both offense and defense.

No! Wait. What am I saying? Braylon only played 3 different positions at once- he's not fast enough like Tedd Ginn to play all 11 positions at once.
...but wait Troll, according to your Stanton argument, one player can make a team right??

Ooooops again.

OK, Here is the next one guys, WR...go at it.

Best WR: Jarret - he may not be playing this year but he is still the best WR.

Overrated WR:
Samardzija - He honestly is not that great, just a great QB to make him look good.

Underrated WR: Hardy - alot of people outside the B10 don't know who this guy is. Led Indiana in receiving yards and one of top WR in the B10.

Lmao Samardzija overrated. Brady Quinn makes HIM look good? Dude do you even watch there games? Because if you did and acually paid attention you would know it is the exact opposite. What you said is down right laughable.

Best: Calvin Johnson
Overrated: Breaston
Underrated: Calvin Johnson.

Smardzija is overrated, you will see once he gets to the NFL, if he does. People say he is the All-American WR and everything....he is not All-American quality.

Calvin Johnson being underrated?!? Everyone knows about the kid. If you know college football, you will know who Calvin Johnson is...plain and simple. The kid is a household name.

Did you uh... Just Copy/Paste out of CFBN.com?

No, I use CFBNews for the names because I cant remember all thre players in the nation. But after scrolling through and reading about the recievers and then checking different sites, I try to revise the sentences as much as possible and make them my own. But since they are professional journalists, I like their layout to help me. But I dont use their picks, if I did Jessica Samark, ljhkljh wouldnt have been my overrated pick.

It's really tough to objectively say who is best, overrated, and underrated. But, I can tell you one WR to watch out for, and whom will most assuredly be an All-American candidate after this upcoming season: Hawaii's Davone Bess. Physically similar to, run routes like, and has hands as good as Santonio Holmes, but has post-catch moves like Bam Childress. He's simply a bad-ass WR...

Braylon Edwards vs. tOSU: 11 catches, 173 yards....ONE game.

Yeah, in 2004, in a ass-whuppin' loss. :roll1:

At the time, Edwards was a senior and Michigan's primary WR...Ginn was a true freshman and was barely our #2 WR. Then again, Braylon didn't look all too hot when Ginn faked his ass out of his do-rag on the punt TD. By the way, Edwards got most of those yards against a CB that had a bum hip (Fox), and once Youboty was shifted to cover him, Edwards did squat.

Ginn may get a lot of hype based more on his potential than performance at WR, but he was key in our last drive TD at your place for the win, and he torched ND for a shit-load of yards, so a lot of the hype is deserved. He is nowhere near the most over-hyped WR in the country...not even in the conference.

Dude honestly go watch the ND/OSU game. Quinn looked pethetic, showing bad arm strength and acuracy, some good reads and good recivers. Honestly just do it.
Hell you know what? Watch a highlight video made by a hardcore ND fan.

The Recivers make all the plays when the ball is poorly thrown. Stop watching espn and do some of your own research.
The reason I said Calvin Johnson is overated is because I have seen him as #5 best Reciver on many peoples lists, when he deserves better. Heck go onto espn then college football then look at the top recivers video. I am tired of all the praise Quinn gets. Yards = him good.

Okay, here I go

Best receiver(s)- Calvin Johnson and Dwayne Jarrett

I think that what Calvin Johnson is doing, at a school, where they don't have the best talent around him, is remarkable. He's a great receiver, with tons and tons of potential.

Jarrett, on the other hand, is just as good, but I think the fact that he had a Heisman-winning QB in Matt Leinart, made things a lot easier for him. I think that his stats may not be as good this year, with Leinart gone.

Most overrated- Dwayne Jarrett

He's an amazing receiver (and I know this is debatable, and many of ya'll will disagree with me), but I think that he may not be as good as advertised. If he flourishes without Leinart (which I think he more than likely will), then I'll take back what I said).

Most underrated- Sidney Rice

The guy is the complete package, and because he was injured last year, he's not as highly promoted and advertised as he should be. This guy is going to explode on the scene this year, and flourish alongside Prothro.

How can Dwayne Jarrett be overrated when you think he's the best reciever?

Try and put the pieces together.

Jarrett is tied with Johnson (in my opinion) as the best receiver. However, since he goes to USC, he gets so much more exposure from the media, and such. I know it's certainly a debatable topic, as previous stated, but it's just what I think. I'm not always right, and I'm never awake this late. So, I'm out.

So even though you think he's the best wide reciever in the nation, you think he gets too much hype? Makes sense. :roll2:
