Best WR- Calvin Johnson, Georgia Tech

Hands down the best. If you disagree you either;

A) Need to get your eyes checked because you can't see that well.

B) Have never seen him play.

C) Just don't know anything about football.

D) Are a USC fan.

Look 'SC fans, Jarrett is great but Johnson just has that X-factor.

Plus, Reggie Ball sucks. Give Johnson a real QB and he'll shine even brighter.


Most overrated WR- Ted Ginn, Jr., Ohio State

Hands down the most overrated WR in the nation. Ginn is mentioned among the very best receivers in the country, and he's just not there. Ginn's stats last season were nothing spectacular and the kid has a case of the dropsies, yet he gets hyped into oblivion, especially by tOSU fans. Ginn is a very good receiver, but not one of the Top 3 in the nation and until he can hang onto the ball on a kick/punt return and actually dominate from the receiver position I think all the Ginn for Heisman talk should stop. Last season Ginn disappeared for long stretches and was not the consistent game-changer that he's made out to be. He had 4 touchdowns catching the ball, that's it. Four. Ginn has 6 touchdown receptions for his entire career. Mario Manningham had that last season as a freshman who barely saw playing time. For instance, Dwanye Jarrett of USC who was in the same recruiting class as Ginn and has played in as many games as Ginn, has 30 touchdown receptions.


Most underrated WR- James Hardy, Indiana

Hardy is hands down the best returning WR in the B10 and is among the best in the nation, yet he never gets the credit or pub that he deserves. Hardy is a very physical receiver in the mold of Mike Williams, and he has very deceptive speed and a pair of big, soft hands with sticky fingers. Hardy has the talent to be a real star, and if he was on a big-name team like tOSU/ND/FSU etc. everybody would be hyping this kid as a pre-season All-American and proclaiming him one of the best WR's in the country.

Samardzija isn't fit to carry Braylon's jockstrap.

1) Yes, he drops the ball. I guess you must watch games with the OSU glasses on. Either that or you have selective memory. The guy dropped some very catchable passes in 2005, and I distinctly remember him barking at Troy Smith in the Texas game, only for Troy to bark back. Troy probably said something along the lines of, "catch the damn ball and then I might throw it to you next time"

2) They don't and they should not. I was just noting that the guy is getting alot of Heisman love, and mainly that stems from his deadly skills as a return specialist. Well he won't be able to return kicks/punts if he can't hang onto them.

Having said that, returns DO tend to be factored into the equation for him when it comes to evaluating him as a receiver. The guy is getting overhyped and the Heisman talk is ridiculous because purely as a receiver he hasn't shown he's on that level. He's not even remotely near that level yet.

3) Yes, I think he's overrated. But that really would not matter if I was a Michigan fan or not. I think he's a good player with tons of potential. He's just not there yet. People here talk about him as if he's already one of the best receivers in the game and he's just not. He hasn't shown enough yet to be mentioned in the same breath as Jarrett or Johnson, yet he gets mentioned in that breath by pre-season rags and tons of tOSU fans.

Ginn is a good receiver, not a great one. Until he proves himself more out on the field I have no problem calling a spade a spade and saying he's overrated as a receiver.

Best WR: D'Wayne Jarret- Absolutely a dominant specimen
Overrated: Jarret Hicks- A product of the Texas Tech system
Underrated: Tyrone Prothro- He is really a gamebreaker at WR but other than the play of the year, you don't see him get mentioned much

No selective memory here...however, your selective speculation is quite amusing.
