Rank the Accuracy of the BCS NC Selections

2001 Nebraska was the single most egregious mistake the BCS has made. There have been many that were very bad, but in NO WAY did that Nebraska team deserve to play for the title after having been demolished by Colorado in their final game.

It was wrong for Alabama to go to the BCS title game when they didn't win their conference, and it was wrong for Nebraska, too. Wrong is wrong.

Oklahoma 2003 as well.

Get blown out 35-7 by Kansas St and get rewarded for it?

Blech on that.

62-36 marked the downfall for the Big Red. We're still trying to climb out of the cellar.

Most Husker fans can remember where they were at for that beatdown and what they were doing at the time. I personally was at a bowling alley.

Wait, I thought we were talking about 2001 not 1981?

1981? Are you referring to 1983, when "The Scoring Explosion" lost to Howard Schnellenberger and the Miami Hurricanes on the two-point conversion?

Or are you referring to 1982 Penn State in Happy Valley? We were 9-3 in '81. Not much to boast about.

Reread the bolded section.

What's a bowling alley?

Saturday morning TV used to be a veritable sports cornucopia.

College football, bowling...and Putt-Putt golf tournaments.

Was this on wide world of sports?

There was a world putt-putt championship?

Bowling was on right before WWoS.

The old Putt-Putt broadcasts are available on DVD (and yes I only know that because I went googling to try to and find the name of the show). I actually thought the Putt-Putt shows were pretty cool when I was little...bowling didn't interest me as much.

Same for us Buckeye fans with the 2007 game against Florida. Then again, I think most are trying to forget everything about that night. It was brutal.

The rematch between LSU and Bama just showed the power of ESPiN, and their SEC love. If they had pushed that hard for a Ohio State vs Mich rematch, it might have happened.
