The kicker is that if you had no insurance, they would make you pay the whole amount. But if you have insurance, they'll take whatever the insurance company offers and not raise a fuss. :roll1:

If I ever do something like this again I may want to have a rule that you must bid at least $100 more and/or $100 less than the amount that someone has already bid. :biggrin:

tibor75's point (above) was the reason that I did this. It is to show the value of having health insurance and how unfair the medical profession's billing policies are. If you can't afford health insurance the hospital and doctors expect (or at least try) to get more money from you than they get for the same proceedures from someone with health insurance.
